The ride is sponsored by THE MAIN ENTRNCE, Harter's Hall & Team Dawg Cycling Club. Dyersville is known for their St. Patty's Day Celebration. We will have a few barley pops before leaving for Petersburg, and for those who would like to start and spread a little Irish Cheer may join us at the THE MAIN ENTRANCE downtown Dyersville ( 1 block East of the twin spires/steeples). THE MAIN ENTRANCE will have beer specials and mixed drinks. A huge 10 foot projection screen will play Team Melon Head's DVD of past Shamrock Rides from 2003 to present or NCAA Games and lots of great music. THE MAIN ENTRANCE IS YOUR Shamrock Ride and RAGBRAI HEADQUARTERS. The owner of the bar rides with Team Dawg and can help you with your RAGBRAI overnight camping spot/location. In fact, you can line up your overnight camping arrangments with some of the locals in the bar. Lyle can answer any questions or help you and your team with arrangements. This 21-mile ride will start at the Heritage Trail parking lot or the Main Entrance downtown at 10:00, and travel to Harter's Hall in Petersburg with a stop at Recker's Oasis. Robb & Kelli will have the welcome mat out and beads for everyone!!! Harter Hall is a big hall with plenty of ice cold beer and mixed drinks to quench your thirst. The Dyersville St. Patrick's Day Celebration and Parade starts at 1:00 and whether you make it back is up to you. With RAGBRAI overnighting in Dyersville on Friday July 27, we expect 800 to 1000 bicyclist this year rain or shine, and you do not want to miss this one. No registration to ride. Shirt will be available. So come and join us!! Come Ride with Team Dawg or stay on the Porch. Route

This ride will start in Dyersville at The Heritage Trail parking lot at 10:00 and will travel West to Petersburg. The route will be generously marked and is ridden at your own pace for all ages to enjoy. The ride travels west on the Beltline Rd. and turns north by Tegeler's Pond / U.S. Feeds on 332nd Avenue across the tracks to Recker's Oasis for beverages (and his birthday day party) and then to Harter's Hall on the southern edge and across from the grain elevator in Petersburg. The Dyersville St. Patricks Day parade starts at 1:30 and whether you make it back is up to you. The party at Harter Hall will last late into the wee hours so one could call it a 2 day event.If you cannot stay the entire time, some will be spending the rest of the evening at THE MAIN ENTRANCE.
