You aren't going to want to miss the inaugural Coin-Tucky Derby! The Blanchard Forward Foundation has been putting in a lot of work planning for this great new event. We guarantee a fun time on the southern end of the trail celebrating Derby Day! Join us for Mint Juleps, beer, cocktails, mocktails, hat/helmet decorating, horse racing games, awards, and the derby on the big screen (oh yeah - a bike ride to City of Coin, too!). Most of the festivities in Blanchard will be held at the Blanchard Community Center - just east of the 'end of the line' at the Blanchard Trailhead. After the ride, grab supper at the Coin Fire and Rescue Fish & Chicken Fry!
Route
10 miles round trip from Blanchard to Coin & Back on the Wabash Trace Nature Trail in southwest Iowa. Make it a longer ride by starting farther north on the trail - in Shenandoah, Malvern, or Council Bluffs!

Registration
No costs for the ride itself, although we do encourage everyone to purchase their daily ($2) or annual ($20) trail passes to support trail maintenance. We do ask that people register for the free ticket so we have an idea of numbers to plan for, and a $50 VIP registration is available if you want to support the non-profit organizations sponsoring the event. Mint Juleps, other drinks, and fancy southern finger food will be available.
