TOMRV is back again in 2026! A challenging bicycle ride on scenic back roads through midwestern farmland and along the Mississippi River.
This two-day event offers a perfect blend of challenge and beauty. TOMRV, organized by the Quad Cities Bicycle Club, is celebrating its 47th year in 2026.
New for 2026 will be a 1 day ride option (ride and Saturday night buffet or just the ride). Unfortunately, no transportation will be provided for riders back to their starting location.
This popular event has attracted over 1,000 cyclists annually, who come to ride the scenic and challenging roads along the glacier-carved Mississippi River Valley. From flat stretches to steep bluffs, TOMRV offers a variety of terrains that challenge riders of all levels, from competitive racers to fitness enthusiasts. In addition to well stocked sag stops, we also have bike support on the route by certified bicycle mechanics.
Riders can start in Bettendorf or Goose Lake, on their way to Dubuque on Saturday. Spend overnight at scenic Loras College where a buffet meal will be offered on Saturday night along with an inviting pub to meet up with friends and fellow riders to talk about that day's ride or the challenges ahead for Sunday's ride.
Route change for 2025, due to road construction, the 2026 route will all be on the Iowa side of the river. While not ideal, for the true TOMRV enthusiast, we hope to have the traditional ride (Iowa/Illinois ride on Saturday & Iowa ride on Sunday) back in 2027. Road construction always brings a risk which is the reason for the change for 2026.
On Sunday, June 7th, riders will return to either Goose Lake or Bettendorf via another scenic route.
