Join Table to Table, CommUnity Crisis Services, the Iowa City Bike Library, and the amazing bike community of Iowa City (& beyond) to participate in the 7th Annual Cranksgiving Iowa City, presented by New Pioneer Food Co-op.
Cranksgiving is a two-wheeled food drive that blends community-building, giving, and adventure. Push your pedals with a purpose as you pack your bike bags with much-needed food and household items for CommUnity Food Bank at Pepperwood Plaza, Johnson County’s largest and busiest food resource. You’ll navigate city streets, urban trails, and store aisles to find the specific items listed on the manifest (scavenger hunt shopping list).
It costs nothing to register! You’ll need a bike, a helmet, a lock, and a bag (or basket, or rack, or cargo bike, or trailer, or other creative solution) to carry the goods. You’ll also need money (to purchase food items) and a charitable attitude! This event is intended to be “easy like Sunday morning” (not a race).
The after party will be complete with raffle prizes and LIVE MUSIC by Sam Knutson and Golden Alexander. Oh- and Big Grove is providing Breakfast Burritos for early registrants, so register by November 8th!
