Over the summer, new bicycle lane markings were added on streets in and around downtown Iowa City, and Clinton Street underwent a four- to three-lane conversion. Whether you’re a driver, bicyclist, or both come learn what the markings mean and how to follow them so everyone can travel safely and efficiently.

  • Free bicycle maps plus chance to win door prizes!
  • This talk/training is also open to the public as well as County staff.

The talk will be presented by Sarah Walz, assistant transportation planner with the Metropolitan Planning Organization of Johnson County. Sarah will discuss other current and planned bike facility projects, including additional four- to three-lane conversions and their safety benefits.
