Trail Ride

Distance - 12 or 31.8 miles

Join us for the 26th annual Big Creek Bike Ride. Starting and ending in Polk City, this bike ride showcases the Big Creek Lake Area, The Neal Smith and High Trestle Trail.

See route map below. Distance is approximately 32 miles.  Riders will bike through Big Creek State Park then go north to Slater with an optional stop at Nite Hawk Bar and Grill before returning to the High Trestle Trail.  From there we will ride south to Ankeny's Firetrucker Brewery for a second optional stop.  Then the last leg of the route connects to the Neal Smith Trail which will return you to Polk City.  Upon returning to The Square of Polk City riders will be able to relax, play bags / cornhole, and enjoy the surrounding area.
