get some more miles in? Ready to
ride like you mean it? We have another
Century Ride (100 miles) coming up THIS SATURDAY!!
Des Moines
Cycle Club Board Member, Artur Golebiewski will be Leading you on a
100 mile journey beginning at 8:00am at the Wal-Mart
parking lot (1001 73rd Street, Windsor Heights) next to B-Bops. From there you’ll be headed out towards
Perry, then you’ll cut across to Woodward on some roads (that include a five
mile section of gravel). In Woodward you’ll
stop for lunch, then on to the High Trestle Trail to Polk City, cutting across
to the Neal Smith Trail all the way downtown, ending up with the loop back to
where you began! Whew!! Did ya get all that?? No
worries, Artur is a great leader and will keep you on the right track.
Things you
need to know….
Be
there early and ready to ride by 8am. This
is a self-supported ride. You’ll need to
be able to keep a 14 to 15 mph average.
There will be three rest stops – including lunch (everyone buys their
own). Helmets required!
Having a
good time is Mandatory!!
