Redevelopment is afoot in an industrial area south of Gray's Lake, and city leaders want to be prepared for what they think could becomea prime area for new housing as well asrestaurants and other commercial properties.
The South of Gray's Lake master plan identifies what could happen if developerstransform 140 acres along Thomas Beck Road, stretching from Southwest Seventh Street to Fleur Drive, from its currentindustrial and office use. It envisionsa vibrant, mixed-use area akin to the East Village.
