Fred’s Paper Route
Gravel Road Race
Fred's Paper Route is named after my 72 YO father who delivers papers on his bike in the small town of Griswold, Iowa.
The format will be as follows:
Category's 1 and 2= Race Group A 2 laps= 64 miles NO paper drop off for door prizes, small cash prize purse, Overall unique award 1-3 male and female
Category's 3,4 and 5= Race Group B 1 lap= 32 miles, 5 paper drop offs for door prizes, Ball cap for top 3 male and female
Fat Bike division= Race Group C 1 lap= 32 miles, 5 paper drop offs for door prizes, Ball cap for top 3 male and female
For Race Group B and C racers will be asked to carry "5 papers" to be dropped off at designated spots along the route. The papers will be small cards with racers # on it . If they deliver all 5 papers they will have 5 chances at door prizes.
Some of the highlights of the race: Very challenging course, hill top finish, free beer and chili at post race party, Metal beer mug with race logo, Unique sculpture for overall awards. Custom hat for Category winners.
