Chain Reaction Bicycle Club
Chain Reaction is an established bicycling club located in Dubuque and drawing a active membership of approximately 200 people from the Tri-State area. Chain Reaction was originally formed with a primary interest in mountain biking and has evolved to encompass both road and mountain biking with an emphasis on training and racing. Locally, it is an active part of our mission to promote safe and enthusiastic enjoyment of our sport. Racing members range in age from 9 to 60+ and represent the Club within our entire region; from north of Colesburg, to south of Bellevue and west of Dyersville to east of Galena. For many years, Chain Reaction has promoted an annual series of races known as The Soul Series. The Soul Series is typically comprised of 6 to 8 races. These are multi-disciplined, from road races to mountain bike time trials. Several of our hallmark events are The Iowa State Road Race Championships, The Eagle Point Criterium and the Blockhouse Roll Mountain Bike Festival. As part of our national work, the LAF is organizing local LIVESTRONG armies across the country. A local LIVESTRONG Army is a dynamic group of people who unite to make cancer a priority in their community, at the state level and across the country. Local LIVESTRONG armies can include:

Iowa Outdoor Unlimited
Iowa Outdoor Unlimited (IOU) is a group of like minded people who enjoy spending time in the outdoors. We were founded in 2005 and since then have camped, kayaked, canoed, caved, cross-country skied, downhill skied, climbed and done many other outdoor activities. As our name suggests we want to be unlimited in the types of outdoor activities we try. During our first year we had 26 different events and did our best to educate members on those sports. A focus of our group is to band together to teach each other about the great outdoors and outdoor sports. Everyone 18 and older is welcome to join our group. After all we were founded to help people make connections so you never have to go it alone.

The Iowa Valley Bicycle Club (IVBC of Marshalltown) was formed in 1974 to promote recreational bicycling and bicycle safety. From the initial mission, IVBC has been active in programs such as the bike safety rodeo program of the after school Allstars program, donating helmets to children, providing traffic control for the Oktemberfest 10 K run and the Corn Carnival Triathlon, and assisting the Adopt a Highway Program. Through donations it has also aided in the development of the Marshalltown Bike Path and the Discovery America Trail.
