Miss America Riding On RAGBRAI Next Summer? Good Luck Miss
Iowa!

While we will be announcing the route for RAGBRAI XXXVIII
on Saturday night while one RAGBRAIer will be on a
different stage that evening in Las Vegas.

Anne Michael Langguth, a 22-year old from Iowa City, is
competing for the title of Miss America 2010.

Anne Michael and her dad, Brad, rode all of RAGBRAI last
year on a tandem. You might have passed, or have been
passed, by a tandem with a young woman with a tiara atop
her bike helmet. She also performed in several of the
overnight towns as she plays a mean violin! (She has even
played on-stage with the Charlie Daniels Band) She will
play that violin during the talent portions of the Miss
America pageant.

Anne graduated from Harvard one month before RAGBRAI and
plans to attend the University of Iowa medical school.

How many Miss America contestants do you think were fueled
by Tender Tom’s Turkey? (pictured at right with Leroy
from Tender Tom’s). To see Anne Michael’s slideshow from
RAGBRAI 2009, visit the Miss Iowa website.

Good luck Anne Michael! Your fellow RAGBRAI riders are
pulling for you!
