A Mason City man was treated and released Wednesday
evening at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa after his bicycle was struck
by a car.

Michael Wayne Parsley, 31, was hit at about 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday while heading north on Illinois Avenue, Mason City police
reported.

The driver of the auto, Jeffrey Lance Miller, 34, of
Mason City, was southbound on Illinois Avenue. Miller struck the
bicycle when he attempted to make a left turn into the Hy-Vee East

Parsley was transported to Mercy-North Iowa by ambulance.

Charges are pending in the accident, police said.
