Stop out and see what cyclocross is all about before the season is over!
Get ready for great courses, great prizes, and two fun and challenging days of racing. Although we can't promise the signature Belgium-esque weather of last year, we'll do our best to appease mother nature.
BIKEIOWA Note: Cumming Bob, Jesse G-spot, Joker Kale, Luggs, Tobin B-man, Super-Fuller, BIKEIOWA Scott and all the regulars and legends will be racing. Will we see MC-Light out there? I hear tale of many 1st timers showing up too... Come cheer us on!
Party crew alert - BYOB, we'll provide some too. Jello-shots and pudding-poppers - no one gets by!
Last year it rained before Saturday's race. It rained all Saturday night, and races started in pouring rain on Sunday. Sound gloomy ? No way! It was an absolute mud-fest and it was a blast to race in and even better to watch other slip & slide! Here are the muddy links from last year. Saturday and Sunday.
I doubt we get the rain like last year, but there will be more spectators if the rain holds back. Dress appropriately.

What is Cyclocross? Cyclo-cross is a form of bicycle racing. Races take place typically in the autumn and winter and consists of many laps of a short (1.5–2 mile) course featuring pavement, wooded trails, grass, steep hills and obstacles requiring the rider to quickly dismount, carry the bike whilst navigating the obstruction and remount in one motion. Races are generally between 45 minutes to an hour long, with the distance varying depending on the ground conditions. The sport is strongest in the traditional road cycling countries such as Belgium, The Netherlands and the Czech Republic. This year the sport is exploding in Iowa!
