>> REGISTRATION
The Ride of Silence is a ride to honor & remember cyclists who have been hit by a motorist & were injured or killed as a result. Join cyclists worldwide in a silent slow-paced ride (max. 12 mph) in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways.
There is no brochure, no sponsors and no registration fees. You only need to show up and to be wearing a helmet to participate. The ride, which is held during Bike Safety month, aims to raise the awareness of motorists, police and city officials that cyclists have a legal right to ride the public roadways.
>> RIDE ROUTE
There is a Motorcycle Escort in funeral procession style. Provided by both City and County Law Enforcement. The ride requests black arm bands be worn, red only if you have had a bike/motor vehicle accident.
