Confident Cycling Courses

Bike to Work Week is teaming up with several Park and Recreation departments throughout the Des Moines metro area to offer Confident Cycling Courses every Saturday morning in April.

This is a great opportunity to get information about proper lane positioning, the best route to take or how to change a tire. While the course is geared toward new riders, there will be plenty of useful information for the experienced riders. This is also a great way for the Commuter Buddies to get their recruits comfortable with their decision to ride - make it a learning experience for all.

Confident Cycling Courses are offered at four locations. You do not need to be a resident of that community to participate. All courses are FREE. Reservations are not required. Bring along your bike, there will be an opportunity to practice tire changes and lane positioning on the streets.

All courses run from 9 to 11 am (ride afterward is optional).
