A Mason City man was injured after he struck a car while riding his bike Tuesday afternoon.
David Strittmater, 60, was transported to Mercy Medical Center with a "non-life threatening head injury," according to Mason City Police Chief Jeff Brinkley. He was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Police sayStrittmater struck the side of a 2001 Chevy Malibu driven by Lisa Campbell, 36, of Mason City at Highway 122 and South Virginia about 4:42 p.m. Tuesday.
Strittmater was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device after he hit the side of Campbell’s vehicle.
Campbell was cited with failure to provide proof of financial responsibility.
