A Red Oak man was injured following a collision between a cyclist and a vehicle on Saturday morning in Red Oak.

According to a report from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, 53-year-old Dale French was riding a bicycle southbound on Highway 48.

A 2013 Ford Taurus being driven by 35-year-old Elysia White turned into the path of French near 2508 Broadway. The bicycle crashed into the Taurus and French hit his face on one of the vehicle's tires.

French was transported to Montgomery County Memorial Hospital by Red Oak Rescue. He then was flown to the University of Nebraska Medical Center by LifeNet.

White was cited for failure to yield upon a left turn and for driving without insurance.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Red Oak Police Department.
