A Lake Mills man died Wednesday from injuries resulting from a bicycle crash last week in rural Johnson County, officials said.
Franklin Dahn, 70, was riding his bicycle around 1:30 p.m.on June 30 down a hill in the 2300 block of Sugar Bottom Road when he struck an animal and crashed, according to a news release from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.
Dahn was flown to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and later died from his injuries, the release said.
Dahn was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the release.
The Johnson County Sheriff's Office, Solon Fire Department, Johnson County Ambulance and AirCare responded to the crash.
