The trails were closed Thursday morning as flood water surged into the Walnut Creek from heavy rains on Wednesday and Thursday.
After the water went down city crews cleaned up the debris.
Some 2-3 inch rain totals were reported on Wednesday-Thursday and some parts of Iowa saw up to 6 inches from storms Thursday night into early Friday.
