MUSCATINE, Iowa— Bike to Work Week is May 16-20, and Blue Zones encourages residents of Muscatine to try a new form of travel for their daily commute.

Jodi Hansen, Community Lead forBlue Zones Project Muscatine, said the week can serve as an excuse to get out of the house and move.

"It's so great just to be able to get out your door, and is really exciting because it allows people to get going as soon as they wake up in the morning.A lot of times we makeexcuses when it comes to exercise, sohaving Bike to Work Weekas an excuseto exercise is great," she said.

The project encourages natural movement for healthier lives, and bicycling to work is one option. While it may require planning more time into a day, riding a bike to work can enhance health and well-being.
