CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) –May is National Bike Month, and each year one week is selected for Bike to Work week.

The city of Cedar Rapids is inviting residents to participate in a weeklong celebration aimed at encouraging cycling in the community, teaching residents about bike safety, and creating a bike-friendly culture.

“It’s just an opportunity for residents across the community to participate in events or activities, get to ride with city officials, learn a little more about some of the amenities going on in our community, that try to support the biking lifestyle, it’s a great opportunity to learn more and get out and try riding,” City Communications Coordinator Emily Muhlbach said.
