A 92-year-old Mason City driver who hit an 83-year-old bicyclist on Wednesday has been cited, police say.
Kathryn Colville, 92, was cited for misdemeanor failure to yield to a pedestrian.
Colville's eastbound car hit a bicycle, which was also going east, on Fourth Street near Pennsylvania Avenue, police said.
The crash happened about 1 p.m.
The
cyclist, Anna Murnigkeit, 83, of Mason City, was taken to Mercy Medical
Center-North Iowa with what appeared to be non-life-threatening
injuries, police said.
Doctors were evaluating Murnigkeit on Wednesday evening so her condition wasn't immediately available, a hospital official said.
