On Jan 27th 2015 Central Iowa Trail Association (CITA) was awarded the "Special Volunteer Award" from the Des Moines Parks and Recreation Department and Board.

The CITA board met the Mayor and other Council Members and learned about other groups and individuals who also volunteer.

On behalf of CITA - Thank you to all our volunteers, donors and Board members for making fun, safe and sustainable trails happen.
