POLK CITY, Iowa —Troopers say a Polk City bicyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash.

It happened around 2:15 a.m. Monday.

A report by the Iowa State Patrol shows 42-year-old Thomas Lueck was riding on Northwest 44th Street near Saylorville Lake, when a vehicle struck him from behind.

Troopers said that vehicle did not stop.

Lueck was flown by air ambulance to a Des Moines hospital. His current condition has not been made available.
