WATERLOO, Iowa — A Cedar Falls man was taken to the hospital after he was hit while riding his bicycle Sunday night.
The
accident happened at about 8:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of West Airline
Highway when a Buick driven by Darrel Cox, 70, of Fairbank, collided
with a John Godbey’s bike. The car’s windshield was destroyed, and
paramedics with Waterloo Fire Rescue took Godbey, 48, of 2308 Center
St., to Allen Hospital for incapacitating injuries, according to the
accident report.
Both the driver and Godbey were headed east on
Airline, and the bike rider didn’t have a back light and wasn’t visible
at the time of the accident, the report states.
