The Raccoon River Valley Trail Association (RRVT), one of America’s best recreational trails, has long been a avid supporter of Trails in Iowa.

They have been a long-term supporter of BIKEIOWA too and we appreciate that.

The RRVT's website is always up to date: RaccoonRiverValleyTrail.org

About the Trail

The Raccoon River Valley Trail is a 56-mile-long paved trail along the branches of the beautiful Raccoon River through Greene, Guthrie and Dallas Counties in west central Iowa. It includes the communities of Jefferson, Cooper, Herndon, Yale, Panora, Linden, Redfield, Adel and Waukee. And, going east, the RRVT connects with the extensive trail system in Iowa’s capital city of Des Moines.

The 33-mile-long “North Loop,” is coming along with a completion date in Spring 2013. That will include the communities of Dallas Center, Minburn, Perry, Dawson and Jamaica. you can ride some of these segments now.

This trails continues to grow as two new segments of the North Loop opened this year.
