Grassroots racing at it's finest. #1 Iowa City, #2 Colfax , & #3 Grinnell. The courses are a mix of paved and gravel surfaces with an emphasis on gravel.

The Iowa Spring Classic is a Spring bicycle racing series in Iowa consisting of three installments: #1 Iowa City, #2 Colfax , & #3 Grinnell.

Grassroots racing at it's finest. $15 entry fee, no late fee, on-site registration! Very simple and no limbo mumbo jumbo.

The courses are a mix of paved and gravel surfaces with an emphasis on gravel.

The beauty of the gravel/pavement course is the weather has minimal impact. Unless the roads are glazed with frozen rain or the gravel is the consistency of caramel, we should be racing. Remember at least to ride heavy duty tires with plenty of frame clearance, a cyclo-cross bike would be optimal, perhaps fenders?? Your Choice!

Total course distance is 6.3 miles, 2.6 miles paved and 3.7 miles gravel.

Race Distance 4-7 laps depending on Category

The course has 5 corners with rolling to hilly terrain proceeding CLOCKWISE.

Total Course distance is 8.03 miles and this one is ALL GRAVEL.

Race Distance 4-6 laps depending on Category

The rectangle shaped course has 9 corners with rolling to hilly terrain proceeding CLOCKWISE.
