Mark you calendars now for Saturday, February 20th. Kevin Cooney featured speaker at annual banquet in Lake Panorama.

Lake Panorama, IA The Raccoon River Valley Trail Association's annual membership banquet and fund-raising auction has been set for Saturday, February 20. Once again, it will be held at the Lake Panorama National Resort Conference Center. Kevin Cooney, primary news anchor for KCCI-TV has agreed to be the featured speaker. He and his wife, Mollie are association members and regular riders on the RRVT. The banquet will also include an update on trail news by the association, a buffet meal and both a silent and live auction. Association president, Carla Offenburger said, "This banquet has become our primary fund-raising event and the money raised keeps the association working all year on behalf of the trail. This allows us to do special events along the trail, but also includes marketing across the state and beyond." Bob German, event organizer said, "It's just a good time when we can have so many association members and friends of the trail together for a night of celebration and fun. Raising a substantial amount of money is important too." This will be the 3rd banquet for the association. Reservations are required and tickets can be ordered off the RRVT Association website, www.raccoonrivervalleytrail.org. Tickets are $25 each, and a sell out is nearly guaranteed, based on previous years attendance. Order early and invite your friends for a fun night on. BIKEIOWA note Julie and I attended the banquet for the first time last year. We had a great time and met lots of new people with like interests. Plus this is for a great cause.
