Need something FUN to do on the 4th? How about the newly
relocated Uncle Sam Ride??? Previously originating in the Eldora / Steamboat
Rock / Conrad area, come experience Hardin County and Riverbend Rally! Join
cyclists from Team Love Shack, Team Spin?, Team Curbside?, Team Super Tuned,
and other area cyclists. The ride will start at the Spoken Wheel Cyclery? in Iowa Falls, at the conclusion of the 5K
and 8K road race. Registration will start at approximately 10:00 a.m., with the
ride starting at approximately 11:00 a.m. Registration will include a signed
waiver and a suggested $5 donation to Hardin County Recreational Trails?. The
route will be a 66-mile loop through Hardin County and a portion of this year's
RABRAI route: Iowa Falls to Alden and Beaver Alden? Westside Restaurant &
Lounge? for lunch (7 miles) to Buckeye (6 miles) to Owasa (14 miles) to Eldora
(10 miles) to Steamboat Rock (5 miles) through Cleves (2 miles) to Ragbrai
Ackley? (6 miles) and back to Iowa Falls (13 miles). Riverbend Rally is happening
in Iowa Falls, with the parade at 5:00 p.m., fireworks at dusk, and a beverage
garden with Elegant Entertainment DJ from 9:00 p.m. - 1:30. OR... How about the
Independence Day DUATHLON??? Run in the Riverbend Rally 5K or 8K road race,
with registration at 7:00 a.m., run at 8:00 a.m., then follow it up with a

ride the Bill Riley Memorial Bike Ride!!! Yes, Bill Riley once called Iowa
Falls home, and he was also a cycling enthusiast. Previously called the Bill
Riley Family Ride, we renamed this the Bill Riley Memorial Bike Ride a few
years back. Come experience Iowa Falls, Alden, and Riverbend Rally! The ride
will start at the Spoken Wheel Cyclery in Iowa Falls, with registration
starting at 1:00 p.m., and the ride starting at 2:00 p.m. Registration will
include a signed waiver and a suggested $5 donation to Hardin County
Recreational Trails. The route will be a 24-mile out and back course to Alden
via trails, Siloam Road, and County Line Road. The midway point will be The
Brickhouse in Alden, which will be open for food. OR... How about the
Independence Week-End TRIFECTA??? Run in the Riverbend Rally 5K or 8K road race
on Saturday morning, then follow that up with the 66-mile Uncle Sam Ride, and
the Bill Riley Ride on Sunday!
