Party Ride

Distance - 46 miles

The Pirates celebrate the Yin and the Yang of distance riding and cool, refreshing, adult beverages. We lead the league in Morgan consumption, but we dig out every last, ugly, sunstroked mile. Dawn-riders and bus-saggers are just deuce sides of the same sissy coin. So please join us in our quixotic swing at bulking up these two important life skills on the last Saturday before the paper tries to make you cry for Mark's mommy. We'll be your BFF.....

Route

From Anthony's, take the bike trail to Legends in Pleasant Hill. Then take more trail to the south side, turn east on Parkridge/6th, and follow the Pirate signs as you zig-zag the maze of blacktops to Runnells. Then go straight north to Mitchellville. Jump over I-80, and ride west to the Wooden Nickel in Bondurant. Then it's back south to Altoona. (Don't miss the old-town bar on your way in.) We'll hand out maps better vetted than a cabinet nominee...
