Recap/Results

Results are up!  USA Cycling

After a 2 year hiatus, Capital City Cross was back for good times! Thanks to OSKAR BLUES BREWERY for powering the event with prizes, flags and banners!  The course was as fast as the heckling this year!

Heckler's Hill  aka the "brae" used some new real estate at the top which make spectating a 360 degree experience. This seemed like the place to be as you could see the entire course, be up-and-close to the barrier action, see the slow trod along the top as well as the fast descent to the East.

CX Men Cat 1/2/3

TEASER VIDEO

The BIKEIOWA.com Cycling Team knows how to put on fun and exciting events and this one will be no different. Look for tons of great vantage points to cheer on your favorite racers or just chill and watch the action.

Beginner Friendly
Have not raced before? This is a perfect place to see if you like cross. Show up early to get a little practice. This is your chance to try it out!

You don't even need a special bike! All you need is: Two wheels, A brake on each wheel, a Freewheel, and handlebar ends that do not point forwards or up. Mountain bikes work great!

Kid-Friendly
There is a playground on the East end of Stone Park.

This race is SUPER SPECTATOR Friendly!!
If you have never been to a cyclocross race, you are missing out! There is action everywhere and you can watch the race from several vantage points! Kick back for an afternoon and watch cyclocross! Bring lawn chairs and park yourself, or check out the whole course.

Supplies
Facilities are limited. Bring you own water. There will be two Kybos onsite. There are convenience stores and restaurants 3-5 minutes away if you need last minute supplies.

Parking
There is plenty of parking off SE Fulton Drive. PLEASE DO NOT park at Community Center on East Side. They want that parking left open for those using the Community Center.

Post-Race Party

From out of town?
You are so close to downtown Des Moines where there are plenty of great restaurants and hotels to spend the weekend.
