Capital City Cross

Capital City Cross returns to Des Moines on Sept 24th and 25th for TWO days of grit-yer-teeth cyclocross!  Capital City Cross is hosted by the BIKEIOWA.com Cycling Team and is Powered by Scheels. The race course will appeal to both beginners to seasoned racers. You will have a blast if you race or just come and watch. Ride your bike to the race and hang out. We guarantee you a good time! We race rain or shine! Note: BOTH Races are at Stone Park.

SAT, Sept 24th - The Race course will be marked by 12:30 pm on Saturday. This venue has been fun during Renegade Practices. Let's see what we can do on race day! SUN, Sept 25th - Same Park, Different Race Course! The Race course will be marked by 11:00 am on Sunday morning. Plan on flats, hills, switch-backs, sand, park roads, downhills, run-ups, barriers and much more! Everything you'd expect in a Cyclocross race! STONE PARK

Stone Park is a new cyclocross venue this year and is less than 5 miles from downtown Des Moines off SW 2nd Street and Fulton Drive. Click on race details for directions and a map. Thanks to Des Moines Park and Recreation for letting us use this venue.

FIRST TIMER DISCOUNT

BIKEIOWA.com will again foot $5.00 of your entry fee if you are a first time cross racer. Yep, your $25 entry fee will be $20 for first time racers! Juniors will be only $5 to race! SPECTATOR FRIENDLY

Both races will be VERY SPECTATOR Friendly!! If you have never been to a cyclocross race, you are missing out! There is action everywhere! A good cyclocross course allows you to see 80%+ of the course from one vantage point. Kick back for an afternoon and watch cyclocross! We'll have a "compound" near the middle of the course where you can hang out.
