TWO Cross Races at TWO different venues will take place in Central Iowa this weekend. Both races are part of the Central Iowa Cyclocross Series and both rocked last year!

SATURDAY - OCT 2nd - Dirty Wooden Shoe Cyclocross Race in Pella  RACE | FLYER | WEBSITE

The Dirty Wooden Shoe cyclocross race, presented by Iowa Orthopaedic Center, P.C. will be held Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010 at the whitebreast campground near Pella. Racing starts a 10 a.m. with the category 3, masters and junior racers and continues until 3 p.m.

SUNDAY - OCT 3rd - Altoona Cyclocross Race in Altoona RACE | FLYER | WEBSITE

Presented by Zealous Racing, the course will be fast and consist of Grass, Dirt, Pavement, and Gravel in Lions Park. The race will be held in conjunction with the Stinkfoot 5k running race put on by the altoona triathlon club.Cross Racing starts at 11:00 am

If you happen to live near Omaha,  check out the Omaha Cyclocross Weekend on Sat (Oct 2nd) and Sun (Oct 3rd) hosted by the Velo Veloce Cycling Club. The races are the opening weekend of the Nebraska Cyclocross Series. Swanson is an excellent venue, with plenty of varied terrain and natural barriers.
