KUDOs to the crew at Geoff's Bike & Ski, Q7 Cycling and the rest who put together a GREAT course at a GREAT Venue!

Bobbers Cross 1 (Sunday, September 19, 2010)  was the first Iowa cyclocross race of the season and the first race at Bobber's Grill on Coralville Lake.

Race Day was met with cloudy skys and cool cross-like temp from the night's rain. After taking a practice lap, I knew it would be a fun but challenging course. There was not much elevation change, but the grass and muddy spots, made for some heavy pedaling. The coolest part was riding through Bobber's Beer Garden, up a small rock garden right before the finish line. Add in some S-curves, a sand crossing that was part of the sand volleyball court, several muddy crossings and you have yourself a good cross course! KUDOS to the first-timers!!!
