The day started off with perfect weather conditions - sunny, mid 50's, and very light wind.  During the first race, riders worked the standing water into the mud beneath eventually turning some sections into a peanut butter consistency causing some riders to dismount and run.  As things dried out, the next 2 races saw the track tack up and ride faster and not as messy.  As the riders warmed up for the final race, the Belge weather came as ordered, and right on time.  The mist began falling and became heavier throughout the race.  At the finish, we all crossed the line soaking wet, mud head to toe, and with permanent smiles on our faces!  (at least mine hasn't gone away yet!)
