WHO

Description

Party Ride

Distance - 20

Like Scottish independence and damning the Maquoketa Rive, Bobtoberfest is one of those ideas that probably should go away – but won’t.

After many heated and sometimes violent meetings with various boards and councils of the power elite, tribal leaders and officials from the State Alcoholic Beverage Control Board have decided to sanction Bobtoberfest by granting a permit.  Due to diverse nature of the goings-on’s and what-have-u’s, the ride will be governed by the iBNR – a new division of Illuminati.

“This permit ensues that the holder, regardless of his or her actions, will be in compliance with all bylaws, statutes, policies, mandates, & regulations of Team Playtex & The Davis Family Band with proper jurisprudence”

Bob’s going to take his sweet-ass time this year, so everything doesn’t all happen at once…

The route has some major changes and obstacles this year.

As usual, many Bob’s will be getting organized at Paul’s Tip in downtown Dubuque between 10:29 am and 12:16 pm.  We should have a trailer or two and a driverBob for a few folks to ride out to Farley.

Those not getting an advanced start at Paul’s, meet up at the first bar on the right in Farley around 12:30 and let the wild rumpus start.

From there the ride heads East to Epworth and then a few miles to the park near the graveyard (not in the graveyard Bob!).

NOTE – a big change this year.  After Bob pays respects, he’ll be taking a detour from the normal route down Graf Rd (this is a left turn BOB – no, your other left).  Heading to hang with the Grafites and have some Chili & cornbread.

Onward Bob roles via the trail from Graf to the HandleBar in Durango.  From Durango nobody knows.  Maybe the driving-bob-crazy Range and then into DBQ.

Any Bob that makes it back to Paul’s qualifies for a special drawing.

Although we'll be traveling at the speed of light, lights are still a good idea.  Also, the ride is clothing optional, but due to the cold weather costumes are advised, along with other Safety Gear, and adult tools.    NOTE - the ride will likely not have support - so plan for the best and expect the worst.

Here's a photo of Bob doing some risky shit on his bike last year.   We'll have none of that this year.
