Holy corn squeezins' Augie! here we go again!! thats right 13 years of one of the most anticipated rides of the year. Last year the bridge was fixed and ready to go, quite a big deal getting that back! So here's the skinny on the ride, 24 mile round trip from La Porte to Brandon, all on the great cedar valley nature trail! put that in your corncob pipe and smoke it! The always entertaining and toe tappin" BRYCE JANEY with special guest SKEETER LEWIS on the sax (you won't wanna miss this one) will be rockin Phat Alberts in Brandon starting at aprox. 3:00 then it will be WAGG at aprox. 7:00 in LaPorte. The La Porte bar has been remodeled and theres much more room! And guess what? NO COVER! as always. The ride goes on no matter what Ma nature throws at us rain, snow, sleet, tsunami's, locust plaques, forest fires, you get the idea. There are rooms available at the 5-star Rockwood motel but they go fast and camping available at city park and McFarlane park. Be sure and wear the ol' blaze orange for this ride ( official ride color). And for the ladies, Anthony Weiner will be there for autographs and slow dancin' LETS GET IT ON! you'll notice ride end time is not correct (computer gitch) this thing goes on till O' dark thirty!
UPDATE: TRAIL WAS CHECKED ON 3/30 AND THERE IS SNOW STILL IN SPOTS BUT DEFINATELY RIDABLE! A HYDRID OR MOUNTAIN BIKE IS SUGGESTED.
